Arrigetch Peaks Wilderness Cabin (Brooks Range)

Arrigetch Peaks Wilderness Cabin is a log cabin built by hand from local timber. It sits in Gates of the Arctic National Park on the Alatna River, surrounded by the peaks of the Brooks Range. There's room for four people and a cozy wood stove; there's no running water, but there is a washhouse and an outhouse behind the cabin. Your guide stays in a second, smaller cabin. That way they're always on hand for questions and your safety, while still leaving you all the solitude you want. The guide also takes care of your meals – and you'll be amazed at what they can whip up without a big kitchen. You definitely won't find canned food here, and there's no phone either to interrupt your dinner.
