Ice climbing is an incredibly fascinating sport! The huge frozen waterfalls are an absolute highlight just to look at. But actually climbing them is truly awe-inspiring.

In Alaska you can try or practice ice climbing in all sorts of forms. There are lots of glaciers where, even in summer, you can get your first taste of ice climbing in ideal conditions. In some places you can climb in crevasses or glacier caves. And for the experts there are countless multi-pitch routes on frozen waterfalls or on the glaciers.

For mixed climbing too, Alaska offers some of the best climbing areas in the world.
