+++ Alaska TV +++ «Glacier Bay Nationalpark» (“Glacier Bay National Park”) on rbb
www.ndr.deGlacier Bay National Park lies at the southeastern end of #Alaska. Untouched wilderness of breathtaking beauty: snow-capped peaks, fjords, forests, beaches, bays and above all glaciers, plus a large number of wild animals. 250 years ago, Glacier Bay was a bay of ice, one single glacier, which also gave the area its name. Over the last two centuries, however, the ice has retreated massively and released the land. Beaches, trees and rivers only developed after that – for biologists and scientists, the park is a kind of open-air laboratory.
