Josh Horst
Expediting & Remote Operations
Josh Horst is probably the best logistics expert in all of Alaska. With his company Horst Expediting & Remote Operations, he organizes even the most demanding expeditions in northern Alaska for his clients, from research projects and hunting trips to wilderness tourism. He provides his clients with all the equipment they need: from buses, snowmachines and dog sleds to tents and wilderness gear, all the way down to sleeping bags and the right outdoor clothing.

Josh Horst has also been Brent Sass's right-hand man for many years. As a handler, he brings his wealth of experience to every stage of preparing for and wrapping up the sled dog races, and by now he has become irreplaceable for Brent and his team.
His experience with the dogs combined with his sharp logistical mind has also made him a key part of the murkl.com guide network. For example, he was the perfect addition to the first official travel group to the Arctic in May 2015, as a dog sled guide, adviser on all things logistics and, last but not least, as the trusty driver of his truck on the Dalton Highway. And with his open, warm way of telling stories about caribou hunts, wolves and life in the wilderness, he was and still is a wonderful, true-Alaskan addition to every murkl.com travel team.
